Pakistan Lost again!

Pakistan also lost the 3rd T20 match which was held at Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. It’s high time that Pakistan management realize that the current batting order and bowlers are not sufficient to fight against such a strong team.

Mishbah seems more like to waste balls then utilize them in hitting some boundaries. The only player in my opinion who has brought a spark in Pakistani team is Saeed Ajmal who is consisting in his bowling and has proved to be the Doosra of Cricket.

Let’s see how Pakistani players show their talent in BPL. Good effort by Bangladesh, which is not even possible to imagine in Pakistan due to security issues.

Well Earned Triumph

After much sad news emerging from every corner of Pakistan one becomes completely pessimistic and starts showing the pessimistic behavior to everyone around you. There however come a few winds of happiness that can be spread around to be not only proud of but to cherish. They can also be a way of becoming optimistic once again in your lives.

One such event is the bringing home of that Black man a.k.a ‘Oscar’ by Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy. She is one lady with her team who shot a documentary over a very grim but strong topic about female acid attacks in Pakistan. I haven’t watched the documentary as yet but I’ve always enjoyed such thought provoking movies whereby Pakistani issues that are known to all but we still tend to avoid them and live in the illusion that we are an independent and a free nation.

Such news are actually praise-worthy and to be proud of and when such contribution comes from a female in our patriarchical society. Such achievements must be encouraged so others in our society could actually work upon empowering their females at home and open up their minds to such issues to not only accept the existence in our society but also to provoke their thinking and actions to work upon them.

Such movies like Bol, Khuda Ke Liye, and now Saving Face can be a tremendously effective way to not only educate our population but also to start a revolution and changing the thinking and perceptions of conservative populous.

Guess Whos Back ?

Our very own and the youngest CHEATER of Pakistan Cricket History is back. Mr Amir has finally returned to Pakistan after his jail sentence by a judge in London in November. 19 year old Amir is banned for five years by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The question arises whether Pakistan will consider him again in the team or his career ends here? We can already see people in the team who lack experience but are still playing international cricket. Taking Amir back into the team can be shocking news for the cricket lovers as this young fellow has already humiliated Pakistan worldwide.

They say ‘Bache man k sache’

Is their naivety being exploited? It’s time to Act Rational or Come-Clean.

The street kids in Pakistan are now becoming a source of delivery boys for dangerous and addictive drugs. This is due to the fact that they wouldn’t be suspected by the authorities due to their age and being a minor.
The news article stated that the minor caught under suspicion of being a delivery boy of drugs was released after no solid evidence was found against him. However who would go and explain it to the authorities that it’s the authorities themselves involved in such kinds of illegal acts as it brings them surplus and hidden revenues.

The other day I was going through a leading Pakistani news channel whereby on Sunday they air a show upon which they dig out the grave realities of what is happening in the society and where it is heading to! In this program they showed how alcohol was being made domestically inside homes and was being sold around. Ironically, it was being sold openly to everyone and anyone who desires to get their hands upon intoxication.
We could take either of the two approaches: the Rational Path or the Come-Clean path!

I agree that heroine; alcoholism and such other activities are a source of income and runs parallel with every economy’s well being. My concern is not that it is being sold. My basic point of concern here becomes that if this heroine ,alcohol and other intoxicants has become such an important part of our economy that no other big shot Saturday nights’ party goes without dopes and alcoholic drinks and the man on the street can so easily access to alcohol and heroine then why doesn’t our government makes it legal so we come out of the illusion of being an Islamic Republic and also, the revenue could be recorded into Pakistan’s GDP so to account and tax the excessive and superlative profits this industry makes.

Or either we actually Come-Clean, by  looking into this matter seriously and operating under the lines of The Islamic Republic we call ourselves i.e we should take some serious action against the stakeholders of this industry ,nepotism-free so to stop our generations being exploited .BUT then again I think the latter is impossible as its Pakistan after all.. Where its all about Money and Power.

In the Name of Islam!.............................. Really?

What is the Punjab Government up to?  I mean first the ban over objectionable concerts and now over drinks like Pepsi and Shezan in the name of Islam as it is being produced by Non Muslims and Ahmedis. Even over some street stalls in the name of Islam as it promotes girls and boys mingling together.
Religion is an extremely sensitive topic whereby, at one side, we all in the name of Islam come under one name, yet on the other side, inside us we have our own beliefs and sense that we do not want to change for anyone and we all do what pleases us and satisfies our inner soul with our own point of justification again in the name of Islam.

I am just thinking over the fact that when will we all acquire that level of maturity to understand that even if they are international brands or produced by any sect , they are after all being produced by Halal means and is a Halal product to consume. That’s the most simplistic and easiest form of explanation I can find when I think over this matter.

The banning of concerts in academic premises could still be understandable yet again they failed to justify what they meant by objectionable concerts. I mean again the people can arrange concerts by saying that this does not come under objectionable. I mean for God sake don’t just waste your and others time by passing vague laws. Either justify and specify explicitly what you mean by passing such laws or just don’t pass them. Yeah, if it is being done for the mere matter of publicity and entertainment then go ahead for some more shots!

Poor Shawarma guy who got a nice business by creating a monopoly near the university could not even operate it for long time even after being a Muslim and selling a Halal product just because guys and girls both are his customers. When would somebody come and Shake you Authorities?! You guys are no good than a blind and deaf person as you listen nothing, you see nothing, you think nothing!

COUNTRY OF LIGHTS ? OR COUNTRY OFF LIGHTS ?

The issue of Load Shedding still continues all over Pakistan even after claims from the Water and Power Minister Naveed Qamar that "There would not be any Load Shedding from Tuesday 7th February 2012. Mr. Naveed Qamar, while standing in the Assembly Hall announced the end of Load Shedding in Pakistan.

I was watching news on one of the leading news channels at 9p.m with my family and we had a laugh over his statement and wanted to see if it was really true as we have had such statements last year by our very own  Rehman Malik that the dark days of Pakistan are gone.

At exact 00:00a.m , Lights of North Nazimabad went on the scheduled time. It was another false promise made by a Politician to the People of Pakistan. It can be seen that the Politicians know very well to play with the minds of the people of Pakistan. They have made it their habit of making promises and then providing with the worst facilities. There is still 3,400 megawatts shortfall in the production of Electricity and there have been different cities and their areas were without power for up to 6 hours.

If only our dear politicians could understand that fact that neither we need any false hopes as its only their credibilty that gets hurt . Nor we Pakistanis need any big plans for the betterment of Pakistan. All we want is an honest effort and passion towards working of these mere necessities which is the right to be provided to every Pakistani. A little dedication and passion and with less corruption we want them to lead us into change, we aren't scared of turning off the lights and preserve energy but what we actually need is an honest and passionate leader to at least try the best to help to provide electricity for that matter. And PLEASE NO FALSE PROMISES.
